Exploring Dubai Creek – Part 2 (Abra Tour, Gold and Spice Souq) Updated for 2024

Updated: November 9, 2024

In part two of our adventure on the creek, we took an amazingly cheap, 1 dirham, ride in an old wooden boat, called an abra, across the creek from Bastakiya to the souqs.

Wandering through the gold and spice souq we were reminded exactly where we live and how so much of the city doesn’t get explored by most expats.

While it is getting hot, it is still pleasant enough to explore this amazing part of the city and there are endless hole in the wall shops, restaurants and cafes to stop at.

Where is your favorite place in the Dubai creek?
