My colleagues Kyle, Eddie, Shauna and I set off to do a 15km hike but fell short due to the fact that the first mountain we encountered had a vertical drop on the opposite side we could not pass. By the time we headed back down the mountain, we decided to just head to the Hatta Pools for a quick dip since the temperature climbed to 41C.

When we got to the border of Oman, we were told we all needed visas in order to go to the Hatta Pools. We decided to turn around. In the end, we spent the afternoon at the Hatta Fort Hotel and had lunch, drinks and a lot of fun in the pool.
